Beyond Fifteen Communications Inc. actively hires undergraduate students year-round for unpaid internships to earn school credit. As a Beyond Fifteen intern, you’ll gain agency experience and exposure to all facets of media relations and social media campaigns.

Our interns aren’t here to make copies or to get us Starbucks. We’re committed to offering real experience that will provide a solid foundation for your career in public relations.

Beyond Fifteen Intern Requirements:

  • Undergraduate majoring in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism; currently in or entering their junior or senior year.
  • Must commit to a 15-20 hours/week schedule.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
  • Deadline oriented, highly organized, nimble, fast learner.

Internship Responsibilities and Tasks Include but are not Limited to:

  • Media list building.

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our agency. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for strategizing, managing, optimizing/executing, and reporting on all things digital marketing for clients in diverse industries such as technology, healthcare, education, and B2B/B2C accounts.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of four years of experience working in paid and organic social media, Google Advertising and more. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have experience making strategic digital recommendations and developing and implementing complex ad strategies across multiple accounts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative, data-driven campaigns that drive business growth and revenue. This is a mostly remote position, with occasional in-person client meetings and team-building visits to Southern California.


• Develop and implement full-funnel lead generation strategies to maximize conversions and revenue.

• Create social media platform and SEM ad copy, ad extensions, and landing pages that drive high-quality leads.

• Plan and execute SEM lead generation strategies, campaign structure planning, goal-setting, and KPIs.

• Restructure and optimize Google Ads accounts for successful campaigns, including overhauling older accounts with inherited legacy structures and ad types to leverage the latest platform features.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate campaigns to identify opportunities for improvement and inform ongoing client reporting and recommendations.

• Analyze clients’ (existing and new) digital marketing programs and provide strategic recommendations for improvement. Strategize on a weekly basis to determine next steps to take client accounts to the next level of performance.

• Present and quantify performance, findings, and insights on an ongoing basis. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and make strategic recommendations for improvement.

• Communicate information to clients and other external contacts.

• Project manage to ensure the quality and timely execution of activities.


· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field.

· Experience with data visualization.

· Current Google Analytics certification (verified with Skillshop certificate link)

· Minimum of four years of experience in creating, optimizing, and managing digital ad campaigns across all latest campaign types, leveraging various ad formats and tactics.

· Working knowledge of server-side tracking using Google Tag Manager, Firebase, or other relevant tools, and monitoring diverse conversion events using Google Ads and GA4.

· Proficiency in Search, Display, Video, Shopping, and App campaigns.

· Strong attention to detail and project management skills.

· Excellent communication, writing, and presentation development skills.

· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Below are some of the key responsibilities for this role:

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead account manager and day-to-day client contact on key B2B and B2C accounts
  • Project manage to ensure the quality and timely execution of activities spanning PR, blogging, newsletter programs, social media, SEM and more
  • Plan, develop and implement strategic full-funnel communications campaigns including media relations, thought leadership, digital and social, awards programs, outbound marketing campaigns and more
  • Play a key role in developing strategic plans and bringing new ideas and thinking to agency/client teams
  • Heavy writing and content development including messaging, media materials, digital/social content, case studies, byline articles, blogs, eblasts and more
  • Form and maintain meaningful relationships with media to secure opportunities for clients.
  • Create plans with measurable goals – track, analyze and adjust tactics when needed
  • Communicate information to clients and other external contacts
  • Mentor junior team members to develop their capabilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent, ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism
  • 3+ years of PR or communications experience
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Keen attention to detail and follow-through
  • A history of successful account management and media relations experience
  • Evidence of quality media relationships
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a sense of humor
  • Positive attitude, with an ability to multi-task, work independently and within a team
