- Who inspires you?
My parents. They immigrated to this country from Poland in their early twenties, with no knowledge of English, a pocketful of cash and a toddler in tow (me). Despite many obstacles, they created a wonderful life for their family. I can’t imagine how different my life might have been if they hadn’t taken such a huge risk!
- What was your first job?
I worked as a sales associate at a Massage Envy throughout college.
- Name two things you consider yourself to be really good at.
Swimming and Harry Potter trivia. I swam competitively as a child, which was the only physical activity I consistently enjoyed. I also have a freakishly good memory for details and have been a Potter fan since I was nine years old—I even participated in a Harry Potter trivia competition two years ago.
- What show are you watching on Netflix right now?
I just finished The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and loved it. I’m also watching The Office for what is likely the 30th time.
- Where is your favorite place to travel?
London, England. I spent a summer studying abroad at the University of Cambridge when I was in college and I am a huge fan of British literature.
- What are three things on your bucket list?
Run a marathon; visit every continent; learn a third language.
- What recent media success are you most proud of and why?
My colleagues and I worked on behalf of Adventist Health to secure coverage related to the heroic efforts of their hospital staff at Feather River during the Camp Fire. It was a great privilege to push out these stories of hope and selflessness during a crisis.
- What do you love most about Beyond Fifteen?
My team. I’ve never had the pleasure of working with individuals who work harder for their clients, whether that means waking up at 2 a.m. to reach New York media before daybreak or pulling together for an all-hands brainstorm anytime, anywhere.
